Direct Spring Operated Pressure Relief Valves

Anderson Greenwood
Anderson Greenwood's premium performance direct spring operated pressure relief valves use special internals and soft seats to provide optimum, accurate performance. Specific valve types are available for gas, vapor, liquid, gas or liquid thermal relief, and steam applications.

Series 60 and 80 Pressure Relief Valves
Types 81 and 83 are direct spring operated valves designed with special patented internals and soft seats to provide superior performance. This range is capable of solving the most difficult pressure relief problems with valves suitable for gas, vapor, and steam service. Type 81 and 83 valves carry the ASME Section VIII Code Stamp.

Orifice Sizes: 0.049 in² [0.32 cm²] and D                        through J
Connections: 1/2” x 3/4” to 2” x 3”
Inlet Flange Ratings: ANSI 150, 300, 600, 900,                                    1500, 2500
Maximum Temperature: 550°F [288°C]
Minimum Pressure: 20 psig [1.4 barg]
Maximum Pressure: 10,000 psig [690 barg]

Type 81P Relief Valve for Liquid Service
The Type 81P is a fully back pressure balanced, direct spring operated valve designed specially for liquid service. The valve is fully open at only 10% overpressure and has a pressure-loaded spindle ring to ensure stability with no chatter.

Orifice Sizes: 0.049 in² [0.32 cm²] and E, G                        and J
Connections: 3/4” x 1” to 2” x 3”
Inlet Flange Ratings: ANSI 150, 300, 600, 900,                                    1500, 2500
Maximum Temperature: 400°F [204°C]
Minimum Pressure: 50 psig [3.4 barg]
Maximum Pressure: 6,000 psig [414 barg]

Crosby

Series BP OMNI-TRIM® Relief Valves
Crosby’s Series BP OMNI-TRIM® is a reliable pressure relief valve for industrial applications involving variable back pressure. The design and options provide maximum versatility and premium performance.
The Series BP pressure relief valves have a simplified, single trim design with superior application versatility. They provide overpressure protection for low and medium flow applications in refineries, chemical and petrochemical plants, power plant auxiliary systems, and pulp and paper mills.

Orifice Sizes: 0.074 in² [47.74 mm²] and 0.110 in² [70.96 mm²]
Connections: 3/4” x 1” to 1” x 1”
Inlet Flange Ratings: ANSI 150, 300, 600, 900, 1500
Maximum Temperature: 400°F [204°C] Minimum Pressure: 50 psig [3.45 barg]
Maximum Pressure: 1500 psig [103.44 barg]

Series 800 OMNI-TRIM® Relief Valves
Series 800 pressure relief valves are designed for use on air, gas, vapor and steam service. External precise blowdown adjustments provide shorter blowdown than the Series 900, typically in the range of 5 to 15 percent. Increased efficiency results from this improved performance since system pressure can operate closer to the set pressure. The shorter blowdown also reduces product loss.

Orifice Sizes: 0.110 in² [70.96 mm²], 0.196 in² [126.4 mm²], 0.307 in² [198 mm²], 0.503 in² [324.5 mm²]
Connections: 3/4” x 1” to 2” x 2” and 1-1/2” x 2-1/2”
Inlet Flange Ratings: ANSI 150, 300, 600, 900, 1500
Maximum Temperature: 750°F [399°C]
Minimum Pressure: 15 psig [1.03 barg] Maximum Pressure: 1500 psig [103 barg]

Series 900 OMNI-TRIM® Relief Valves
Series 900 OMNI-TRIM® pressure relief valves provide overpressure protection on air, gas, vapor, liquid, thermal relief and steam service. Maximum fixed blowdown is set at the factory, typically 20% or less. Standardization of components in the OMNI-TRIM® design provides easy assembly, durability, and less repair, maintenance and inventory costs than valves having varying internals materials. Series 900 can also be manufactured to ASME Code Section III for nuclear-related applications.

Orifice Sizes: 0.074 in² [47.74 mm²], 0.110 in² [70.96 mm²], 0.196 in² [126.4 mm²], 0.307 in² [198 mm²], 0.503 in² [324.5 mm²]
Connections: 1/2” x 1” to 2” x 2” and 1-1/2” x 2-1/2”
Inlet Flange Ratings: ANSI 150, 300, 600, 900, 1500, 2500
Maximum Temperature: 750°F [204°C]
Minimum Pressure: 5 psig [0.345 barg]
Maximum Pressure: 5,000 psig [344 barg]
